Marvel Team-Up Annual #5

This 1982 King-Size Annual brings together one of Marvel's most impressive team-ups, pairing Spider-Man with The Thing, Scarlet Witch, Dr. Strange, and Quasar — and the Hannigan/Milgrom cover makes clear they've got their hands full. The five heroes are surrounded and pressed on all sides by a writhing mass of enormous, red-eyed serpents, with a caped figure looming ominously above the chaos. Promising "twice as many pages, twice as many thrills," this oversized issue titled "Serpent Rising" is a great snapshot of early-'80s Marvel at its team-up best.
