In "The Terrible Touch!", a weary miner recounts a strange encounter with the immortal King Midas, claiming the fabled ruler was hiding in the mines—until the miner, thinking him a rival claim-jumper, grabbed him. When his listeners laugh, the miner pulls off his gloves to reveal hands of solid gold, leaving them stunned.
