The cover — penciled by John Romita and Gil Kane and inked by Romita — captures a desperate moment, with Spidey pinned by his flaming foe while the Molten Man declares he'll take the Wall-Crawler down with him, consumed by his own searing body heat. Gerry Conway's story, brought to life by artist Ross Andru, promises a high-stakes showdown that lives up to the cover's bold tagline: "The Battle to the Finish with the Molten Man!
