Few wedding crashers make quite the entrance Spider-Man does on this Gil Kane and Frank Giacoia cover, where the web-slinger swings in declaring "No! This wedding will NOT take place!" while a tuxedo-clad Doctor Octopus, mechanical tentacles coiling menacingly, fires back that it will happen "over your dead body" — all as a flower-crowned Aunt May stands beaming at the altar amid a packed crowd of onlookers. The cover text promises "Aunt May… marrying Doctor Octopus" as the jumping-off point for the "greatest action-packed tale ever," and with Gerry Conway writing and Ross Andru on interior art, this 1979 reprint delivers the kind of gloriously wild Spider-Man storytelling that made Marvel irresistible.
