When the heroes return, nothing is as it was: Spider-Man wears a sleek alien suit, Connors is cured of his lizard curse, Hulk bears a new disability, and the X-Men, Colossus, and the Fantastic Four face transformed lives—new costumes, lost loves, and unexpected allies, including a returning Lockheed and a reformed Captain America’s shield.
