Marvel Série I #13
"Invasão!" marks a pivotal moment in the Marvel Série I with the shocking return of fallen heroes—reborn in altered forms after the Beyonder’s cosmic upheaval. Written by Jim Shooter and José de Freitas, and brought to life by Mike Zeck’s dynamic art and a team of inkers including John Beatty and Art Adams, the issue sees the Marvel Universe reeling from the aftermath of a cosmic invasion, with heroes and villains alike reshaped by forces beyond their control. The cover by Salvador Larroca and Bob Wiacek captures the chaos, as the world struggles to reconcile with a changed pantheon—where even the Capitão América’s shield has been restored, and the Thing’s absence opens new doors for the Fantastic Four.
In "Invasão!", the heroes launch a desperate assault on the villains' stronghold in revenge for the death of Wasp—only to be brutally overwhelmed and captured, with most of the enemy still at large. When they return to their base carrying a severely injured She-Hulk, they’re stunned to learn Wasp is alive, having been secretly healed by Zsaji.
In "Ataque contra Galactus!", the X-Men join forces with Earth's mightiest heroes in a desperate stand against the Devourer of Worlds, as Galactus closes in on consuming the planet. Meanwhile, the Spider-Man adjusts to his new black suit, a change that stirs both curiosity and unease in the midst of the crisis.
In "Morte ao Beyonder!", Dr. Destino, wielding a stolen device forged from Klaw’s body, siphons Galactus’s cosmic energy to become unstoppable—only to face the Beyonder in a final, cataclysmic clash. As the Battleworld fractures around them, the heroes brace for annihilation—until Destino arrives, declaring the Secret War over and offering an unexpected end to the chaos.
In "… Do Pó ao Pó!", the sudden death of the Beyonder leaves Destino in possession of godlike power, reshaping the battlefield as villains are flung into space and heroes face a new, unsettling threat. When Destino offers the heroes their deepest wishes, they refuse—but the mysterious force that once possessed the Hulk and Spider-Woman now transfers to Klaw, shifting the balance of power. With the fate of the planet hanging in the balance, the heroes make a final, desperate decision, only to be undone in an instant by a massive explosion.
In "... Nada Que Temer...", the aftermath of a cosmic upheaval leaves heroes dead and the Beyonder's power dangerously uncontained. As villains return to Earth and chaos reigns, Klaw manipulates Destino into resurrecting the fallen—only for the Beyonder to reclaim its stolen strength. When the heroes return, nothing is as it was: Spider-Man wears a sleek alien suit, Connors is cured of his lizard curse, Hulk bears a new disability, and the X-Men, Colossus, and the Fantastic Four face transformed lives—new costumes, lost loves, and unexpected allies, including a returning Lockheed and a reformed Captain America’s shield.
