Marvel's black-and-white magazine line turns its lens on literature's greatest detective with this 1976 oversized edition, bringing Arthur Conan Doyle's most celebrated case — "The Hound of the Baskervilles" — to comics form courtesy of writer Doug Moench and artist Val Mayerik. Ken Barr's painted cover sets a suitably atmospheric tone: a glowing-eyed, spectral hound lunges through a fog-drenched night toward a desperate figure clutching a walking stick, a foreboding Gothic manor looming in the darkness behind them.
