Marvel Premiere #26 (November 1975) hands the spotlight to Hercules, the Prince of Power, in his own Olympian showcase — and Jack Kirby's cover (inked by Vince Colletta) wastes no time making the case for his raw might. The Lion of Olympus dominates the image, muscles straining as he tears apart a tangle of thick green vines, while two companions — a robed male figure and a fierce woman in purple — struggle against the same supernatural snare at his sides. With Bill Mantlo scripting "The Games of Raging Gods" and George Tuska on interior art, this is a fine place to watch Marvel's favorite man-god flex both his power and his mythos.
