“Deathplay!”

"Deathplay!" delivers a gritty, high-stakes chapter in the Ghost Rider saga, spotlighting a pivotal moment in Johnny's journey as he crashes into a hostile town and confronts The Orb, a vengeful foe with a personal grudge. Written by Roger McKenzie and brought to life by the dynamic art team of Don Perlin and Tom Sutton, with inks by Owen McCarron and Pablo Marcos, the issue weaves tension between Ghost Rider’s road-warrior isolation and a sudden, dangerous entanglement with Roxanne—whose memories are stolen by The Orb, setting off a chain of perilous choices. The cover by Rich Buckler and Frank Giacoia captures the raw intensity of the moment, while the 2021 Marvel Masterworks edition preserves this classic tale in striking detail.
