Marvel Age Spider-Man #15
In "Duel with Daredevil!", Peter Parker’s chance to photograph Spider-Man at the circus takes a wild turn when the Ringmaster uses a hypnotic trick hat to control the web-slinger—and the crowd. With Foggy and Karen urging Matt Murdock to relax and enjoy the show, Daredevil finds himself facing a masked menace he can’t ignore. The clash between the real Spider-Man and the fake one leads to a surprising confrontation, as the masked hero fights not just the Ringmaster’s illusions, but the very idea of identity itself. Written by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, and Todd DeZago, with art by Shane Davis and Lary Stucker, and a striking cover by Roger Cruz, this 2005 issue blends circus spectacle with superhero tension in a way that’s both nostalgic and fresh.

Jonah lets Peter take pics at the circus as Spider-Man is supposed to put in an appearance. Foggy and Karen talk Matt into taking a night off and catching the show themselves. The real Spider-Man actually ends up saving the fake one but this allows the Ringmaster to use his trick hat to hypnotize him. Ringmaster also mesmerizes the entire crowd but before he can rob them, Daredevil opposes him as he is not affected. Ringmaster sends Spidey to take on DD and the two battle before Spider-Man is snapped out of his mental control and the two beat on the Ringmaster and his circus of criminals.
