Marvel Age #8
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMarvel Age #8 is a charming piece of 1983 Marvel history, billing itself as "The Official Marvel News Magazine" and delivering a special in-depth interview with Stan Lee and editor-in-chief Jim Shooter. Ron Zalme's cover captures the fun perfectly: Stan Lee — standing atop his famous Soapbox and waving a pennant reading "Excelsior!" — is joined by the much taller Jim Shooter, the two surrounded by a cheering crowd of Marvel characters while "CLAP" and "APPLAUSE" fill the background. It's a warm, celebratory snapshot of Marvel in full swing, and at just 25 cents, it promised twice as many pages as you might expect.
