The issue contains two stories. "The Bridge of Nan U" depicts a Marine attack on a Japanese-held bridge during World War II, with a soldier left behind receiving lessons in combat survival after a grenade attack. "Tricky!" is a longer text-and-illustration story about Allied military planners developing an unbreakable military code to prevent the Japanese from decoding their invasion plans, focusing on the urgent seven-week effort to create a perfect code and the challenges faced by the code-development team.
