“Appointment with Diamonds”

In "Appointment with Diamonds," Rene’s quiet rebellion takes her to a train station with a man named Norman, where the weight of a delayed departure hinges on a single, carefully misread watch. Drawn together by a fleeting moment of connection, their quiet coffee break turns into a quiet unraveling—just as the final train pulls away, leaving only the echo of what might have been. The story unfolds in delicate, expressive lines by Leslie Branton, whose art captures every subtle shift in mood and tension.
