On the night that Janet and Len had broken up over him going to sea, an old lady witnessed the scene. After Len and Janet had left, there was an accident and the old lady doesn't remember anything after seeing the two sweethearts. The doctor believes it might help restore her memory if she can witness the scene again as it happened that night.
