Cavan uses an iron bar to smash the lock on the door so he and Margo can escape. He is going back for his dog when Black Crag explodes. When Margo comes to, she hears Greg and Lucia arguing. She learns that Lucia had killed Margo's uncle Harvey to get Cavan and Greg had destroyed the will leaving everything to Cavan. In their struggle, the rock edge crumbles and they fall to their deaths. Margo decides to get on the train and return to Liverpool, but Cavan pulls her off the train before it leaves and tells her he loves her.
