Cavan warns Margo not to ride Phantom, but she is determined to show him she has more mettle than he thinks. When Margo and Lucia are riding alone on the cliff, Phantom suddenly rears. Just before she falls, Margo catches the gleam of Lucia's blade. Fortunately, she is caught up in a bush so she is only bruised and scratched when Cavan rescues her. Later that night, Greg announces to Cavan that he and Margo are engaged although Margo has not agreed to marry him.
