1986, New York. Continuing from "Margot in Badtown". Margot and her wrecking crew demolish and remodel apartments, but Margot is a "Robin Hood" who helps squatters and derelicts relocate. Anjelica Monk is a former acrobat and icepick artist married to a rich man who'll scuttle anyone to get "Monk City" built on Spanish Harlem. She tries to befriend and buy out Margot, whom everyone trusts, then sends a seducer and killers. Finally Anjelica and Margot tussle atop a rooftop and Anjelica falls to her death. And Margot's tainted lover, Joe Christmas, walks away.
