Marc Spector: Moon Knight #22

Moon Knight crouches in stark white against a massive, looming figure rendered in shadowy earth tones — chains hanging on either side as blood drips from the altar-like surface below, all under the chilling tagline "Chainsaw. It's who he is — and what he does." Denys Cowan's cover art for this January 1991 issue delivers a genuinely unsettling composition, pairing the hero's blank-masked calm with an atmosphere of real menace. With Chuck Dixon scripting "The Hate Factory" and Sal Velluto on interior art, this is a strong entry in Marc Spector's solo run that leans hard into the series' darker sensibilities.
