Few images in 2020 Marvel publishing hit quite as hard as this Russell Dauterman cover: a curly-haired woman in a purple captain's jacket thrusts her knuckles toward the viewer, the words "KILL SHAW" tattooed across her fingers, while a winged purple dragon looms over her shoulder with glowing yellow eyes. It's a portrait dripping with attitude and barely contained purpose, tying neatly into the X of Swords: Path to Swords banner on the spine. Writer Gerry Duggan, artist Matteo Lolli, and colorist Edgar Delgado bring "The New Phase" to life in what promises to be a charged chapter for the Marauders.
