Dark Horse's supernatural horror series continues with this second issue, and Tyler Crook's cover sets an unsettling tone immediately — a young woman with small horns looks back over her shoulder in alarm while an enormous bandage-wrapped figure looms in the foreground, both surrounded by churning flames of deep orange. The contrast between her vulnerability and that massive, decaying presence makes for a genuinely compelling image. Jeff Lemire's blurb on the cover puts it well: Manor Black conjures serious dark magic, and this issue keeps that promise alive.
