Manifest Destiny #29

Manifest Destiny continues its dark reimagining of the Lewis and Clark expedition with issue #29 from Skybound/Image, brought to life by writer Chris Dingess and artist Matthew Roberts. The cover, drawn and inked by Roberts and colored by Owen Gieni, pulls you in immediately — two grim-faced figures stand back to back beneath a sky torn apart by jagged black shapes and streaking luminous trails, while an eerie swirling mist gathers at the lower right. That brooding palette of deep crimson, shadow, and cold blue light captures the series' signature tension between the historical frontier and something far more unsettling lurking within it.
