Manifest Destiny #22

Manifest Destiny continues its wonderfully strange reimagining of the Lewis and Clark expedition with issue #22, the fourth chapter of the "Sasquatch" arc. Matthew Roberts' cover is an unsettling delight: a determined archer draws back her bow against a wilderness backdrop, while an enormous, grotesquely eye-covered sasquatch footprint — dripping red, studded with blinking pink irises — looms in the foreground. Chris Dingess, Roberts, and Owen Gieni are crafting one of Image/Skybound's most inventive series, blending frontier history with creature-horror that's equal parts eerie and entertaining.
