Manifest Destiny #13

Manifest Destiny keeps its blend of frontier grit and supernatural unease going strong with issue #13 from Image Comics. Matthew Roberts' cover places two frontier-clad figures crouched among rocky wilderness terrain — one gripping a knife and what appears to be a strange, ringed object while a large black dog presses close, and his armed companion keeps watch behind him, rifle in hand, as something blue and furred lurks ominously at the edge of the frame. Chris Dingess and Roberts, with colors by Owen Gieni, continue crafting a Lewis-and-Clark expedition where the American West holds far more dangerous secrets than any map could chart.
