DC's offbeat 1997 superhero comedy continues with this second issue, cover by Doug Mahnke and John Dell, which wastes no time establishing the series' gleefully unhinged tone. A terrified young man is caught in the grip of a snarling green alien creature, while a cybernetic figure looms close and a flying saucer hovers ominously overhead — all under the perfectly deadpan question bubble: "Is it safe???" Writer John Arcudi and artist Doug Mahnke look to be cooking up something wonderfully strange with "Term Paper of the...Gods?", and this cover alone makes a compelling case for diving in.
