Part of Marvel's 2014 "March to AXIS" lead-up, this issue plants Magneto at the center of a storm — literally — as he stands arms outstretched, crackling with magnetic energy while an eclectic group of figures surrounds him: a blue-skinned aquatic woman, a winged figure, a bird-of-prey-headed being, and a horned creature, all set against a blood-red sky dominated by the looming skull-faced visage of the Red Skull. David Yardin's cover composition does a fine job of conveying both threat and defiance, with Magneto holding his ground against whatever forces close in around him. Cullen Bunn, Gabriel Hernández Walta, and Jordie Bellaire continue their run on this series as the Master of Magnetism marches toward one of Marvel's biggest events of the year.
