Father Tully connects to the dying prisoner's mind and discovers the man comes from another planet and belongs to a highly militarized culture. Master Kulgan examines the scroll Pug found and almost gets pulled into a magical rift, but Pug suspects something amiss and has guards break down the door and keeps Kulgan from being pulled through.
