The "World War M Finale!" banner says it all — this fifth and final issue of Maestro: World War M brings Peter David's arc to a close with cover art by Carlos Pacheco and Rafael Fonteriz that pulls no punches. Maestro himself dominates the image, white-maned and ferocious in his purple cloak and red sash, literally smashing apart the series logo with his bare fists as debris explodes in every direction. It's a fittingly forceful visual send-off for one of Marvel's most imposing figures, with colors by Jesus Aburtov lending the whole scene a cold, crackling energy.
