Part of Marvel Knights' grounded, noir-tinged corner of the Marvel Universe, this second issue of Peter David's Madrox miniseries brings David Lloyd's cover to vivid life — Jamie Madrox stands front and center, arms crossed and expression coolly self-assured, while a crowd of his identical duplicates fills the cityscape behind him, each caught in a different mood or gesture. It's a striking visual that captures the strange, layered existence of the Multiple Man perfectly. With David scripting and Pablo Raimondi on interior art, "The Chicago Whey" promises the sharp character work and detective-story atmosphere that make this series such a compelling read.
