Mad #548
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeMAD's 2017 Stranger Things send-up plants Alfred E. Neuman squarely in the middle of the gang, his gap-toothed grin utterly unbothered while caricatures of the show's wide-eyed kids, a panicked Jonathan, and a scowling, mustachioed Chief Hopper crowd around him in exaggerated alarm against a misty, darkened woods backdrop. Tom Richmond's cover pencils and inks do terrific work capturing each character's likeness while cranking the rubbery expressions up to maximum MAD intensity. Promising to "binge-mock" the hit series — plus riffs on vaping, latex girlfriends, and Trump — this issue delivers the gleefully irreverent treatment you'd hope for from the long-running humor magazine.
