M.O.D.O.K. Assassin #4

Part of Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars event, this fourth issue of M.O.D.O.K. Assassin delivers a cover that's equal parts bizarre and thrilling. David Lafuente's art puts the oversized-headed M.O.D.O.K. front and center, his red eyes blazing with menace as coiling pink-and-gold ribbons wrap around him and a fallen armored figure — along with what appears to be a dropped hammer — amid a rubble-strewn battlefield. It's a wonderfully strange image that captures the series' offbeat energy perfectly.
