When Rocky's friend Marc is robbed of a valuable diamond, Rocky and Lassie travel to Diamonte, a mining camp, to find the thief. Guino points an accusing finger at Valente as the thief but Lassie is not so sure. Rocky sets a trap for the thief with a beautiful diamond but the thief escapes. Lassie follows a trail to Valente's cafe and discovers Guino trying to sell Rocky's diamond to the cafe owner. The mystery is solved and Guino is taken to the nearest police station.
