In a quiet corner of the wild, Reina watches as a herd of peccaries finishes off a jaguar, only to see their leader, Kugar, charge at Tarr—the young cub of the fallen predator. Moved by instinct, she takes the orphaned cub in, raising him alongside her own slightly older cubs.

In the heart of the jungle, Lassie teams up with a young colt to fend off a jacare, setting off a chain of events that brings the colt to the homestead. Timbu takes the colt in and names him Star, but when Rocky plans to sell him in Rosario, a sudden accident leaves him injured—and only Lassie and Star can help get him to safety.
