Lucifer #46

Vertigo's Lucifer kicks off a new storyline with issue #46, and Christopher Moeller's haunting cover sets an immediately unsettling tone. A cool blue image of Lucifer — cigarette in hand, expression calculating and detached — looms over a web of tangled threads, beneath which a wild-eyed, anguished figure is ensnared and struggling. Mike Carey, Peter Gross, and Ryan Kelly bring "Stitchglass Slide I: The Weaving" to life, and that title alone suggests something intricate and inescapable is being set in motion.
