Low #22

Issue #22 of Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini's deep-sea dystopia arrives drenched in a striking crimson palette, with Tocchini's cover art washing an entire ensemble of armored and weapon-bearing figures in shades of red and shadow. A pale-haired woman strides forward at the center, flanked by heavily armed companions and looming machinery that speaks to the brutal, lived-in world of Low. Dave McCaig's monochromatic color work gives the whole image an urgent, blood-soaked intensity that makes this 2019 Image Comics entry hard to look away from.
