Atlas Comics' Lovers #63 from September 1954 delivers the romantic tension this series does so well, with cover art by Vince Colletta capturing a charged street-corner scene: a dark-suited man embraces a blonde woman in a red coat and hat, while a second glamorous blonde — dressed in a striking green dress and red coat, pearl necklace and gloves — looks on with a knowing expression.
