A woman experiences love at first sight when she meets Stephen Brandt at a social gathering, and despite a quarrel with him that same evening, she falls deeply in love. After he leaves town, she learns he is a military officer and later encounters Sergeant Danny O'Toole, who warns her away from Brandt, claiming he was court-martialed for abandoning his post. Despite this revelation, she marries Alan Wood and finds happiness, though she receives a telegram revealing that Brandt is plotting a dangerous jet plane mission in Korea and is begging her to come home to him safely.
