When Roddy bumps into Jeannie rushing down a corridor, she breaks her expensive perfume bottle all over the floor. She thinks back to how she had been the girl Friday for the assistant editor of the local paper. Patrick could be nice at times, but he could also be rude for days. He was like a human hurricane, but Jeannie didn't mind because she was in love with him. She had bought the special perfume because she thought their date that night would be special. But he had called off the date. When he sees her crying, he is nice again and she decides he is worth a few tears now and again.
