Love Story Picture Library #851
"Long Term Contract" in Love Story Picture Library #851 (1971) delivers a charming, wryly observed slice of romantic mishap, all drawn with delicate precision by José Bielsa. When Elizabeth follows the advice in a self-help book to win the heart of a boy at the bus stop, her efforts go hilariously awry—until a chance accident leads to an unexpected connection. Pujolar’s cover captures the story’s playful tension, perfectly framing the moment before the book flies out the window.

Elizabeth buys a book titled "How to Get Your Man - and Hang on to Him" and tries its advice to get the boy at the bus stop interested in her. Each attempt fails miserably. In a fit of frustrated anger, she throws the book out the window and hits a man who was passing by. After she apologizes and gets acquainted with the man, he asks if he can see her again the next day. She muses that maybe the book had brought her romance after all.
