Susie had been with an acting troupe that had broken up on tour, leaving her stranded out west. Buck Cooper's Bar X ranch had fallen on hard times with Buck's nephew in Australia, but Susie saw the possibilities and turned it into a fine dude ranch. But neither Susie nor Buck had informed Mel of the changes until he arrives home to find out for himself. And they forget to tell Mel that a film crew is coming in to shoots scenes there.
