Franny's boyfriend is the agent for an actress and all she hears about during their date is the actress and the pop singer she wants to marry. Tired of hearing about the actress and the singer, Franny makes an offhand comment to her sister at work that she could care less about any pop singer, much less him. But the singer happens to be standing behind her and hears the comment. He is desperate for a secretary who isn't a fan of his and offers to double her salary. Franny accepts, but actually is a fan of his and had been president of his local fan club until previous year.
