Sue's first month at the hospital had been nothing but trouble. Her parents let her come to England from Malaya on the condition that she be a nurse, but she really wants to get into acting. When a TV crew comes to the hospital to film a documentary, they pick Sue from among the nurses to be in their film. She is so inept, that they think she is being intentionally funny. On that basis, they hire her to act in a TV comedy. But when the show opens, she gets stage fright and is a disaster.
