Greta, her fiance and Johnny are members of the local pot-holing rescue team. During a difficult rescue, her fiance falls and dies. Greta find herself relying more and more on Johnnie. When she finds a diary left by her fiance, she discovers that Johnnie has secretly loved her. She loves Johnnie also, but realizes he will never ask her to marry him without taking the initiative.
