Jill is part of a party going to a jazz festival at Castletor. When the coach breaks down, they stop at a cafe in a little fishing village. There she meets a man from nearby Gull Island who is looking for a likely bride among the girls in the village. His attempts to win Jill's love include sweeping her off her feet by horseback and serenading her with his guitar.
