Dinah gets a job as a secretary for an art agent who takes her to Spain. Everywhere they go, an Englishman claiming to be a writer shows up and asks probing questions about her employer's activities. One evening, she goes to a bullfight but is unable to stand the sight and faints. When she awakens in a room behind the arena, she is visited by the matador who is instantly smitten with her. She is flattered by the matador's extravagant professions of love, she finds her thoughts going back to the Englishman, although she is not sure she can trust him.
