This anthology issue contains two romantic stories. "West Point Romance" follows a narrator who has harbored a crush on Stan Middleton, the all-star quarterback at West Point, for years, only to discover he is engaged to Paula Phillips, the glamorous socialite daughter of Colonel Phillips. The narrator attends Army-Navy football games and watches Stan play while grappling with her unrequited feelings. In the second story, Sue becomes caught in a romantic triangle when her boyfriend Frank grows jealous after she dances with other boys at a social gathering; after a confrontation where Frank beats up Charlie, David comforts Sue and they share an intimate moment, though Sue ultimately realizes she loves David and hopes their romance will continue.
