A woman marries Paul Kearns in a marriage of convenience after he financially backed her engagement to Gloria, but she soon finds herself attracted to him. When she discovers Paul still holds the ring meant for Gloria and realizes he knew about her past relationship, she plans revenge on him for the humiliation. A second story, "Marriage for Convenience Too Late to Say No," shows a woman named Fran who, after a brief romance with Roy, marries him impulsively; as their trailer-camp honeymoon unfolds, she struggles with doubt and discovers Roy may not be the man she thought he was, leaving her questioning her hasty decision.
