Sally auditions for a play Hank’s going to be in, but her rival Sharon says the height difference between them looks silly, and the faculty adviser agrees. Hank becomes friends with Sally and is going to ask her to the prom, but she thinks he feels sorry for her. Hank then takes Sally to meet his mother, who is also short: “We Davidson men are sort of partial to little gals!” Hank and Sally kiss.
