In "The Perils of Penelope," the Jupiter 2 is thrown into chaos when a meteor—unusually alive—lodges in its hull, drawing the attention of a hostile swarm. With Dr. Smith at the center of the mystery and the Robot sounding the alarm, the crew barely escapes the onslaught, only to crash-land on an unknown world and lose the Pod in the process. Written and illustrated by George Broderick Jr., with additional art by Peter Murphey and Matt Thompson, and colored by Murphey and Thompson, this 1992 adventure features a striking cover by Mike Okamoto.
