Mike Okamoto
Mike Okamoto is an American comic book artist and commercial illustrator, born in Detroit, Michigan. He is best known as the co-creator of Marvel Comics' *Atomic Age*, and for his work in the "good girl art" tradition—a style emphasizing glamorous, pin-up-inspired female figures. His career in comics spanned the 1990s, with credits as artist, colorist, or inker on thirteen issues between 1990 and 1997. Beyond *Atomic Age*, his most frequent titles include *Suspira: The Great Working*, *Lost in Space*, *Nightcry*, *Clive Barker's Hellraiser Dark Holiday Special*, and *The Maze Agency*. Outside of comics, Okamoto earned a notable reputation as a commercial illustrator, winning the International Network of Golf Illustrator of the Year award five times. His later life and legacy remain tied to his distinctive, polished cartooning and his contributions to the revival of classic pin-up aesthetics in 1990s comics.
