Los generales de Kang tienen intención de eliminar a Ravonna como acto final a la conquista de su reino, pero Kang se opone, pues sin su amor perdería todo interés en seguir viviendo, por lo que su ejército se le revela e intrigan contra él. Así las cosas Los Vengadores crean una alianza temporal con Kang para derrotar a los conspiradores a cambio de que los devuelva vivos de regreso al siglo XX. Y así sucede, pero no antes de que Ravonna quede herida de muerte por uno de los traidores generales de Kang.
