This March 1952 Dell issue puts Bugs Bunny front and center in a mountain-climbing predicament — bound with rope and grinning with trademark nonchalance while a flustered Elmer Fudd clings to the rocky cliff face above him, pickaxe in hand. Cover pencils by Ralph Heimdahl give both characters a wonderfully expressive, animated energy that captures the duo's eternal cat-and-mouse dynamic in a single cheerful image. At just a dime, it's a charming snapshot of mid-century cartoon comics at their most playful.
